7th September 2018
The Drama department has organised a visit to The Nuffield Theatre, Southampton, to see ‘FUP: A Modern Fable’ the latest production by internationally acclaimed theatre company Kneehigh Theatre. The performance will take place on Wednesday 17th October 2018 at 7.30pm. For both GCSE and A Level Drama students this will provide an opportunity to see a piece of live theatre which they are supported to write about for the Component 3: Theatre Makers in Practice examination. At both A Level and GCSE the evaluation of live theatre is worth 25% of the marks available in the written examination, therefore students are encouraged to see as much live theatre as they can over the course of their studies. There are 49 student places available on this trip and places will be filled on a first come first served basis. Students entitled to sixth form bursary or pupil premium funding may apply for the cost of the visit to be covered with this funding.
